Penguins are flightless birds that can swim as fast as any fish. They walk on the shore, yet they don’t have knees. There are 18 species of penguins that live below the Equator, and only one that lives just north of the Equator, the Galápagos Penguin, now Endangered, on the sunny shores of Isabela Island.
